10 TIPS FOR WRITER’S BLOCK

Here are 10 tips that I’ve used that have helped me with writer’s block:

1. Change your environment. For example, if you’re inside, go outside, Go somewhere you’ve never been, etc.

2. Read more of everything. For example, books, ebooks, articles, quotes, even other posts can help to inspire you.

3. Brainstorm-go to a quiet place and that means no tv, internet, movies, facebook, etc.

The key is to focus and start writing things that pop into your head, without thinking much about it.

4. Get physical, in other words exercise or at least get up and do something for a while, this helps the brain to work better.

5. Write about current events or subjects that are popular or trending at the time.

6. Write about the places that you’ve been and share it with others, including pictures.

7. Write about what’s going on in your life right now.

8. Write about your beliefs and why you believe them.

9. Think of an interesting person that you know or author that wrote books you really liked and interview him or her.

10. Write about history that interests you, but make sure to do your research on the subject.

Hopefully, this will help get you started and also help you think of more ideas!

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN…

What happens when a nation forgets God? To sum it up in just a few words, judgement from God. When we look back at history, we find many times that people have turned away from God, including history from the Bible. When we put our selfish desires before God’s, bad things are bound to happen. Forgetting God doesn’t just happen overnight, it takes time and we usually are deceived, one sin at a time. We tend to begin justifying ourselves or what we’re doing or we say things like, that’s not so bad or it was just a “white lie”, etc. We need to be vigilant in our relationship with our creator, so that we won’t be deceived. We can also choose to ignore history, but when we do this, history tends to repeat itself. When we don’t ignore history and instead we learn from it, we usually don’t repeat it.

At the beginning of Hitler’s popularity, the people of Germany were frustrated with the economic situation that was going on at this time. When people get desperate, they do things that they wouldn’t normally do. The German people were without jobs, which means they were without food, some had no place to live and there was no hope of it getting any better. Then, Hitler begins to show the people that he will take care of Germany, if they would just follow him. At this time, I’m sure that this felt like the only solution to their problems. As soon as his popularity was increasing, he began implementation of  the propaganda against the Jews. Hitler basically blamed all of Germany’s economic woes and anything else that was wrong with the country, on the Jews. Antisemitism was already a part of the country, so it was pretty easy to encourage it more and make it more popular. There is an excellent book that I highly recommend: “When A Nation Forgets God: 7 Lessons We Must Learn From Nazi Germany” by Erwin W. Lutzer This book breaks it down, so we don’t repeat history.

It’s easy to judge history from our perspective, but just think about what you might have done, if you lived in Germany at this time, especially  considering that these changes took place over years and it didn’t happen overnight. Think about our present day and how much we’ve changed over the years, some for the better and some not. What would you do when given a choice to just go along or stand up against something for what you believe, even if it’s dangerous? I think that the more we learn from history, the better we’ll become!

TRAFFICK AWARENESS

“It is an evil time when the world is dumb before injustice. When the oppressed, the poor, the deprived, cry aloud unto heaven, while the judges and lords of the earth keep silent…these people who feel pain and sorrow like you, to whom violence is done, who have joys and hopes like you; who feel honor and insult like you…your brothers and sisters! “Are you dumb?” O no, you are not dumb, your voice is heard, loud and clear on earth.” by Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906-45)

Awareness and then action is the key to help to stop the trafficking of humans. The definition of human trafficking is the dislocation of someone by deception or coercion for exploitation, through forced prostitution, forced labor or other forms of slavery. There are different types of trafficking, but they’re all evil. Forced prostitution, forced slave labor, forced child soldiers, organ trafficking and the problem of poverty, economic exploitation, immigration, as a way of culture and tradition and pornography.

All those who are trafficked, are living in horrible conditions and being made to do things they don’t want to do. Unspeakable acts that we can’t even imagine. You ask, what can I do? You can learn more about it and know what to look for when you see it and then make sure to report it. You have to ask yourself questions like: was the homeless child who asked me for money, trafficked? when you travel, was someone being trafficked in the airport I was in? who are the people making my chocolate, coffee or clothes, trafficked victims? Trafficking doesn’t just happen in other countries, it happens in the US also, you may even know someone who was trafficked. The traffickers are very good at their job of deceiving and they know what to look for.

“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” by Edmund Burke (1729-97)

BE A MAGNET!

Everyone wants to be liked! Learn how to have more friends, a new love and prospects for your business. I’ve been reading a book, that has been truly eye opening, “The Secret Laws of Attraction: The Effortless Way to Get the Relationship You Want” by Talane Miedaner. It doesn’t matter if you want to have better relationships or attract more prospects to your business, this book is very helpful for both. Have you ever wondered why you need to be acknowledged, taken care of, in charge, be independent, be right all the time, have things in order, be responsible or have great integrity and honesty? We all have needs and if our needs aren’t met, we have a hard time with whatever we are trying to accomplish. “The only way to get past a need is to fill it.” by Talane Miedaner The good news is, there are things we can do to get our needs met! The book mentions, if one of your biggest needs is to accomplish, achieve, get results, you could write things down that you have accomplished, so you can see that you have met this need.
If you come across needy or desperate, because you haven’t made sure that your needs are met, people will notice it and it will not have a positive outcome in your relationships and in your business either. So, if we figure out what our most important needs are and work on getting them met, you will find, not only that you’re happier, but also that your relationships get better and you will become like a magnet, in your life and business. I highly recommend this book, just remember that it’s not just a book to read, but a book to work through, as well. The more we learn about ourselves, the more sincere we can be in our lives.

TESTIMONIALS:

“I saw Matt the first time on stage last year. He was giving a presentation for Jonathan Budd on Facebook strategies and I was really amazed by some of the information he shared because it was unlike anything I had heard before in this industry.

Anyways, a few months passed by and then he opened up his MOBE program to become a Licensee, which I did. I had my first consult with Matt just a little while ago and it was incredible. He really opened my eyes about what was missing in my business.

I made my first $500 sale pretty quickly. I’m already starting to see great results. I’m really amazed. Matt has a great sales funnel. Joining MOBE is the best thing I’ve every done.” -Raena Lynn, Nevada, USA
