SINCERITY

The definition of sincerity is freedom from deceit, hypocrisy, or duplicity; probity in intention or in communicating; earnestness. by Dictionary.com
None of us are just christians, bloggers, entrepreneurs, spouses, mothers or fathers, among other titles that we may hold. All of these are intertwined and we really shouldn’t try to seperate them. Our past, present and future make us who we are. All of our experiences become a part of us and can either be used to help us or hinder us in our life. You must be yourself, which is always original and truly who you are. People can usually see through people who either put on airs or try to be something that they’re not. If you are sincere with others, you will draw others to you. Remember this: “You are the only one who has your talents and abilities.” by Mamie McCullough

HABITUAL CREATURES

We are all creatures of habit, but we don’t need to look at it negatively. We can use this knowledge to reach our goals. When we talk about habits, usually they’re things that are not good for us. Since we know this about ourselves, we can purpose to do whatever action that we want to make a habit. For example, if you’re trying to lose weight and get healthy, you can begin the “habit” of eating healthier foods and exercising, daily. As an entrepeneur, I know that in order to be successful, you have to make sure that you make new “habits” of making the time everyday to spend time on your business and you also need daily inspiration and encouragement. There is a quote by John Dryden, “We first make our habits, and then our habits make us.” This is so true. The most difficult thing about starting a “habit” is at the very beginning when we are forming the “habit”. Ben Stein said, “The indespensable first step to getting the things you want out of life is to decide what you want.” So, first we have to decide what we want and then we can begin the habits that will lead to it. You can’t ever expect change, if you don’t do things differently. Everyone wants to be successful in their life, whatever that means to you. Let’s use this knowledge to go for our dreams!

CHALLENGES & VICTORIES

“Accept the Challenges So That You May Feel the exhilaration of Victory!” by George Smith Patton, Jr.

We all have challenges in our lives, but it’s the way that we handle those challenges that matter. I know in my life, I’ve been through many and I continue to have new ones all the time, especially as I get older. My husband and I have been through many difficult financial times, 10 years of infertility, the process of going through the adoption of our twin boys, from Ukraine. I personally, have several health issues: depression, scoliosis, whiplash, sciatica and the newest issue, something I had never heard of before, Lymphocytic Microscopic Colitis. This last one has caused me to adopt a new type of diet, which is very restrictive. My twin boys have multiple disabilities, which make their lives difficult and yet they try hard everyday and make us very proud!

In the end of life, what matters is how we dealt with our challenges. It makes our lives more interesting, even though we may not enjoy the challenge when it comes. I’ve always found that challenges tend to come in waves of 3, I don’t know if this is the case for everyone, but it almost always seems to be that way for me. We also learn from our challenges and then we can help others, especially if they share the same issues. The Bible says, in

James 1:2-3

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

As a human, this is not the normal human response, but with Christ all things are possible. The more difficult the challenge, the more we feel the victory!
